The Lost Islands of Baru are situated in the most beautiful and unspoiled
area along Central America's Pacific Coast. The first landfall when traveling
from Costa Rica, The Lost Islands of Baru are an emerald scatter of over
50 uninhabited islands and inlets. Remote, but now accessible, The Lost
Islands of Baru remain one of the last unspoiled paradises on earth.
Baru
is located in the lost island archipelago in the province of Chiriqui,
Panama near the southern border of Costa Rica. It is a hidden treasure
centered in the middle of a National Marine Park in which only two islands
have been granted rights of habitation - to include you and your guests
on the island of Baru and a population of approximately 30 villagers on
a nearby island (where your staff resides) who still live the traditional
island lifestyle,
WEATHER The climate is predictable and
temperate due to gentle ocean breezes filtering down from the 11,365 foot
Volcan Baru on Panama's mainland. Even with the proximity of the equator,
cooling breezes soften the humidity.
